How to Adjust the Delay Timer in the Stock Camera App in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Samsung Galaxy S5: By default, the delay timer in the stock Camera app is set to off so that the photo will be captured as soon as you tap the camera icon or press the Volume key. But, there's a condition when you will probably need to adjust the delay timer, for instance: when you want to take an inclusive group photo. Set the timer will make the camera app waits for a specified time before capturing the photo after you tap the camera icon or press the Volume key so that you'll have a time to get yourself in the photo.
How to adjust the delay timer in the stock Camera app?
You can set the timer in this app by using the following steps:

  1. Open the stock Camera app.

  2. Tap  to open up the detailed settings menu.

  3. Tap Timer and then select 2 secs, 5 secs or 10 secs.

  4. The delay timer in the stock Camera app has been adjusted.

  5. From now on, once you tap the camera icon or press the Volume key, the camera will start counting down the selected delay timer and then capture the photo when delay timer is over. As the example, if you have set the delay timer to 5 secs, the photo will be captured 5seconds after you tap the camera icon or press the Volume key.
